PM Hun Manet: Social Protection Empowers, not Enables Dependence

Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Hun Manet has made a clear vision for Cambodia's social protection initiatives, emphasizing that these measures are designed to foster a sense of ownership and resilience among Cambodians, rather than creating a dependency culture. This approach aims to provide timely support during hardships, ensuring that citizens' living conditions do not worsen during challenging times.

During his speech at the Ministry of Social Affairs' Closing Ceremony on Tuesday morning, February 6, 2024, the Prime Minister underscored the continued importance of social protection policies within the agenda of the Royal Government's. He elaborated on the strategy of offering assistance to the populace exclusively in periods of adversity, underscoring the government's commitment to sustainable living conditions for all citizens in the long run.
